Our agency started as a volunteer endeavor and many full-time staff members began their work with us as volunteers.
WHCP has many opportunities for students and community members to volunteer at our organization. Volunteers have been an essential part of our organization’s growth and every contribution is valued.
Join CORNER Project as a volunteer!
We welcome individuals interested in supporting our programming and activities through our general volunteer program! There are a variety of opportunities available from drop-in kit packing to more specialized volunteer and intern positions based on specific skills and interests. All new volunteers, interns, and staff, must attend a 2.5-hour orientation prior to their start date. Orientations are held every 2 months, though accommodations can be made for school programs and other groups. Please contact Kailin See directly at email@example.com for more info on group orientations.
During the orientation, all participants will receive a site tour, an agency introduction, a review of policies and procedures, a brief training on harm reduction and overdose intervention training, including Naloxone training. Volunteers will then be eligible to begin volunteering, it’s as easy as that!
Our next orientation will be held on Monday, March 27th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
Future orientations will be held in May 2017.
