Hello staff, interns, volunteers, participants and friends of WHCP

I was just going through your site and realized as one of the smallest (in size of staff & location) you are one of the most if not the most progressive and resourceful SEP in NY. I was awe-stricken by the dedication, hope compassion and much more, so much more that jump out from these pages. Ok the gig is up, I work there but in all honesty I have to say, every time I walk through those doors I never know what's going to happen, because there is not an issue or situation that we can not get together and bring a solution to. I have had the privilege and honor to work with some of the most dedicated bunch of people that I have ever worked with. There have been times that we close at 5PM and it is 9PM and there are at least 2 of us there because one on our participants needs us and we don't want to leave until we can resolve whatever it might be that needs taken care of and its not for the pay, or for the props its because its what is in our hearts to do. So I want to take this time to say to each and every single one of them. I always say this is my second family. Well for those that know, I have no more family well at least not in ny and I am just returning from a leave of absence due to family issue out of state and I can't be happier to be returning to a bunch of people that I truly love and see as my family. The same way we support ourself is the same way we support anyone that walks through our doors no matter what capacity they are coming in, staff, int, vol, participant. When you walk through our doors we want you to feel safe, welcome as if we are your family and will do whatever it takes to help if that is what you seek, or even if you just feel like coming in to talk. We are and always will be there for you. For the many that knows us and have seen us in work mode, they can also tell you that in the blink of an eye we will drop whatever it is we are doing and concentrate on you and what you need. I have been blessed to have been given a job here and even if I wasn't staff I would find a way and time to volunteer because that is what we at WHCP bring out in people, the urge to reach out and help. So to all my WHCP family, you will see me soon and we will be back together as a team before you know it and I expect nothing less then a half a dozen new things going on cause that's what we do, find a way to do what is needed no matter what. All the best and all my love from your outreach coordinator.

PS
By the way, we don't just work we play also and when we play we play hard and that is usually a fundraiser. We know how to make people feel at home, even at our fund raising events. So if you feel the need, feel compelled feel free to donate, money is always great, but not all we accept, clothing, food, tickets to a Broadway show (if tickets please be able to provide enough for quite a few people) etc. Know that you will be donating to one of the most professional, loving agency in NY. Also you can call in advance if your interested in coming by just to see what we do and who you are donating to and we will find a way and time to give you the grand tour and tell you all about our agency, we are a proud bunch and love to talk about our agency and what we do.

No names are mentioned cause I would have to fill out a lot more space to name everyone that helps, but all of you know who you are and that you are very much appreciated, just in case we didn't happen to tell you today how much we appreciate you, know that we always appreciate every single thing you do for us, from setting up a fundraiser to packing safer sex kits, no job is to small everything you do is needed and appreciated :-)
