Program Director Taeko Frost was amongst the panelists of a September 22nd visit from the White House Director of National Drug Control Policy, Gil Kerlikowske. The event which was hosted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office included DA Cyrus Vance, Dr. Norbert Sander of the Armory Foundation, and Angelo Ortiz of Inwood Community Services.
Able to ask Director Kerlikowske a question relating to policy, she focused on efforts to deregulate Naloxone, the medication which reverses an opiate overdose and is easy enough to be administered by a layperson with minimal training. Ms. Frost also brought up the Good Samaritan Law recently signed by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
